Fresh Fruit and Veggie Program Officially Starts

Students will be introduced to a new fruit or vegetable each week.  We will spend our Wednesday recesses in the cafeteria sampling the chosen fruit or vegetable.  We try to get most items locally, but we learn the facts about where it came from originally and what healthy nutrients it provides.  

Today, we tried rambutans that were grown on the Big Island.  They were delicious!
